Second day of competition: RS Feva Euorocup Hungary 2025 and National Championship

  • August 27, 2025

On the second day of the competition, the weather forecast proved to be accurate. The competition organizers scheduled the start of the third race for 10:00 a.m. The wind, which initially blew from the north at 15-18 knots, strengthened to 18-22 knots by the start of the second race. The RS Feva competitors held their own even in heavy waves. They performed excellently on the Up and Down race course, completing it in under the target time specified in the SI, with almost no rescues.

Due to safety reasons, the organizers delayed the start of the third race by 30 minutes because of the continuously strengthening wind, giving the competitors and boats time to prepare for the average wind speed, which had increased to 23-24 knots before the start.

The organizers started the third race of the day at 12:30 p.m., but during the first leg, the wind continued to strengthen, reaching an average of 25 knots with gusts of 29-30 knots from the north. Due to the increasingly extreme weather conditions, the organizers canceled the remaining races of the day and, after taking the necessary safety measures, escorted the fleet ashore.

As a result of coordinated teamwork (organizers, coaches, accompanying motorboats), the entire fleet arrived safely at the VGYE Dingi Marina in the early afternoon without any material damage or personal injury.
