First day of competition: RS Feva Euorocup Hungary 2025 and National Championship
On the first day of the competition, Tibor Verebély, the chief organizer of the competition, sent the competitors out onto the water immediately after the opening ceremony. The race started in 12-knot winds. The wind began to weaken after the first start at 12 noon, so the organizers decided to postpone the next day’s race after a second race in 5-8 knot winds.
The first day of competition ended with two successful races in moderate to light winds. The temperature was 25-26 degrees Celsius. Lake Balaton was 24 degrees, so everything was perfect for racing.
At the opening ceremony, the organizers announced that a strong cold front was expected to arrive on the evening of the first day of competition, so winds of up to 22-30 knots from the north were expected on the second day.
After the races, the competing children were treated to a pasta party on the shore by VGYE volunteers. Dinner was provided by Café Ponyvaregény in the event tent.
VGYE Dingi Port passed its first test with flying colors at its first international competition held at this location. The boats were on the water in 30 minutes, and the VGYE port was able to provide mooring for 10-12 training boats.
